Presentation Guidelines

The 11th European Conference on Facial Expression
13th - 16th September 2005
Durham University UK

Please note the date for submission of Papers and Symposia has now past. Poster submissions will continue to be considered until the end of July.

There will be 3 forms of paper presentation:

Papers

Individual papers will be grouped with others of a similar theme. Normally presenters have a maximum of 20 minutes for their presentation. A paper is useful for presenting concepts or arguments, or summarising data

Posters

It is our aim to enable each poster presenter to introduce a PowerPoint slide of their poster for 5 minutes in addition to the normal poster presentation.

Symposia

A symposium consists of a group of 3-4 closely co-ordinated papers by different authors that address a particular issue or problem. They may include a discussant, who should have read all the papers in advance. Proposals for symposia are the responsibility of the co-ordinator, who should supply an overall abstract for the symposium AND abstracts for individual papers. There should be no more than four presenters including a discussant. There is only limited space at time for symposia during the conference. If you would like to propose a symposia please submit details before the 15th of April by email using this Word document . If you are considering proposing a symposium please email d.m.burt@durham.ac.uk to express an interest ASAP.

Submissions for posters and papers will be accepted via this web form .

The deadline for paper abstract submission is the 15th April, 2005.
