The 11th European Conference on Facial Expression

The 11th European Conference on Facial Expression will this year be held in Durham - England. The conference provides researchers with an interest in the analysis of facial expression with the opportunity to come together; topics include the measurement of facial expression and in more recent years have included discussions and presentations on the perception of facial expression.

 

After registration (4pm onwards) on the 13th September the conference will commence with an opening talk by Paul Ekman. Other invited presentations include a workshop by Harriet Oster on coding and understanding facial expression in infancy. Conference topics include comparative research on facial expressions, effects of mimicry and immitation, effects of social context on expression and interpretation of facial expressions.
